Tadoussac was founded in the seventeenth century when the first fur-trading post in Canada was established here. Continue through scenic Matapedia Valley back to the St.Lawrence River. The town of Rimouski extends from the shore of theSt. Lawrence to a plateau overlooking the river and the Ile Saint-Barnabé just off shore. By following the coastline, you will reach themagnificent Le Bic National Park which will surprise you with itsunique panorama made up of bays, capes, islands, mountains and adiversified wildlife.
