Take a short little hike up to the crashing falls and make sure to bring your camera and maybe a packed lunch to enjoy the views. In the afternoon, head to Eau Claire Distillery for the Prohibition Experience. Go back in time to the days of Prohibition when the Moral Reform League declared war against the scourge of alcohol. This experience opens the doors to the sights, sounds and taste of the 1920s, where you will learn about Alberta’s place in Prohibition, the Turner Valley Whisky trading and how the distillery came to be. Alongside the tour is an Eau Claire Distillery guided tasting on their award-winning spirits and craft cocktails. We recommend stopping for dinner at the Chuckwagon Café, a warm and welcoming restaurant serving country-style food in an authentic red barn.

A total 3.4km roundtrip hike, this slow-paced journey is a total escape from the busyness of everyday life. This afternoon, head to the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre to get an understanding of the rich mining history that exists in the Turney Valley region and learn the stories of those who once lived there.Head to Thanksgiving Ranch for a luxury experience, designed to make you feel at home with a spacious log building filled with modern furnishings alongside antiques. Venture through old mine ruins, a cemetery, settlements and mine entrances as you head toward the ghost town of Lille.
